pjur celebrates World Hand Hygiene Day
International WHO campaign promotes correct hand hygiene
Wasserbillig/Luxembourg, May 2020. The World Health Organisation (WHO) proclaims World Hand Hygiene Day on May 5th. For many people, the topic of hand hygiene has become more important due to the current pandemic. The awareness, that proper hand washing and disinfecting can prevent or contain the spread of a disease such as COVID-19, has increased significantly.
Clean hands are an effective way to fight viruses
The importance of cleaning and disinfection have more and more become a part of everyday life of many people. Hands and skin are particularly important at the moment, since an estimated 80% of infections are transmitted via our hands. This transmission path can be interrupted by washing hands with soap and water or a hand disinfectant for about 30 seconds. Whether you are in the car, at the office or while shopping: a quick and hygienic cleaning of the hands is especially relevant when soap and water are not accessible.
Proper hand disinfection with pjur DESINFECT takes only 30 seconds
At the beginning of May, pjur has launched a highly effective disinfectant for skin and hands: pjur DESINFECT offers quick and safe, hygienic cleaning without alcohol. For hygienic disinfection, put at least 3 ml in the dry palm of the hand, rub it evenly into the hands for at least 30 seconds, do not rinse off. It is important that, in addition to the palms of the hands, the back of the hand and the finger(tip)s are also disinfected.
pjur DESINFECT does not use alcohol, as alcohol-based products dry out hands frequently, making them cracked and brittle, making them more susceptible to bacteria and viruses. It is also pH-neutral, skin-friendly and free of perfume and microplastics. Registered in line with Germany’s Biocide Notification Ordinance. Thanks to its handy design, the 100ml bottle is practical for on the go and absolutely leak-proof.
pjur DESINFECT PoS kit supports customers to comply with hygiene standards
To promote the importance of hand disinfection in store, pjur specifically developed a PoS kit. It can support customers to comply with hygiene standards. The pjur DESINFECT PoS kit consists of four parts. It contains a notice “Please disinfect here”, a notice showing the individual steps for ideal hand disinfection, a prism display that can be placed on a table next to a disinfection pump dispenser, and a sticker that summarizes the most important hygiene measures: Keep your distance, wear a face mask and disinfect your hands. A PoS kit will automatically be added to every order of pjur DESINFECT free of charge.
